This upgrade kit lets you turn your Ultimaker 2 into an Ultimaker 2+ in less than an hour (also works for Ultimaker 2 Extended).

Installation is very simple to do by following the steps shown in the following videos (PDF guide also available to download below).

With its new feeder, reliability is increased and the interchangeable nozzles allow better control of your printing. The ventilation system has also been optimised to provide improved surface finish.

These improvements will make your Ultimaker even faster, more precise and fluid in its applications.

All the items to upgrade your printer are included in the kit. Installation takes about 1 hour.

Upgrade kit pack contents:   New pre-assembled print head with new optimised ventilation system that’s now quieter. The new Teflon insulator is made of TFM for a longer service life. The heating cartridge is now 35W for improved heating time and printing speed. New PT100 sensor for better temperature reading. With its interchangeable nozzle system, the nozzles can be changed in just a few minutes and you can use nozzles of 0.25mm, 0.4mm, 0.6mm or 0.8mm for improved accuracy or speed, as required. Feeder drive motor Innovative new feeder lets you choose the pressure according to the filament type (soft/hard). Control lever to remove or insert the filament manually. XY replacement axles in case they become deformed during the upgrade of your Ultimaker 2. Calibration card to calibrate the plate before printing. Shorter spool support to save space at the back of the printer. Axle support for better head calibration to reduce friction. Printing plate fasteners are easier to open/close to remove the glass plate '+' sticker to add to the machine’s logo.
